Tell us about yourself, how old, are you
single or married, what you do for a living?
I am 30 years old and single. I am the Business Developer /
IT Manager for Chemico Systems based in Pontiac, MI. I am
responsible for the company’s Tier 1 Chemicals Management
contracts with General Motors along with other automotive
customers. I am also responsible for the company’s IT
systems.Where are you from? Lived
there long or have you lived other places? I am from Fort Wayne, IN. I have lived in
the Fort Wayne area / Northeastern Indiana most of my life
but have also lived in Detroit, MI, Orlando, FL and Oklahoma
City, OK. I was born in Bluffton, IN / Wells County and
graduated from Northern Wells High School. I attended
college in Fort Wayne and graduated with a B.S. in Computer
Science and minored in Business Management.
What got you into playing poker online? I have enjoyed playing cards my entire
life. Growing up in a rural area gave me a lot of time to
play cards. My parents used to play Pinochle, Euchre,
sometimes poker, and a plethora of other card games every
weekend and I grew up watching and learning from them. My
online poker was inspired by the win of Chris Moneymaker in
2003.
If I was to watch you play for a few
hours, what thing about your play would stand out the most?
I am very conservative but aggressive when
I need to be.
Do you consider yourself a lucky person?
All good poker players consider themselves
a lucky person.
What do you like to do for fun or hobbies
other than play poker online? I am into most physical activities.
Growing up I was into all sports such as basketball,
football, soccer, and wrestling. I still continue to enjoy
these activities when I get the opportunity. My true passion
and favorite hobby is skateboarding. I have recently taken
up golf and really enjoy being out on the course for a
relaxing day.
What tips would you give a new player to
the game? Learn as much as you can prior to playing.
I paid for my poker education online and I do not suggest
this to anyone getting started. Books are a cheaper way to
learn.
How do you think you will play at that
first table, on the very first day of the most prestigious
poker tournament in the World? As long as I can keep my nerves in check
on day one I will win the tournament.
GOOD LUCK TRENT!
