| Lee Jones is the Poker Room
Manager. Here is his profile that was kindly submitted to
http://www.ace10.com by Mr.
Jones himself: "Hi Paul - You asked for
a profile of me. I am the poker room manager at PokerStars.com. I
am responsible for deciding what tournaments and games we offer
and helping promote them to our players. I also take suggestions
from our customers and decide which ones make the most sense for
the site. My favorite part of the job, though, is exchanging
emails with our players, finding out what they like and don't like
about PokerStars, and making every player as happy and content
here as we possibly can.
My background was actually in computers - I
have a B.S. in Computer Science from Duke University in North
Carolina (1978) and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the
University of Maryland (1983). I worked in the computer industry
from 1978 through 2003 before taking the job at PokerStars.
I got involved in poker in the mid-1980's,
and learned to play hold'em shortly thereafter. I wrote the first
edition of "Winning Low Limit Hold'em" in 1994, and it's grown in
sales ever since. In fact, this year, it has been in Amazon.com's
top 100 sellers a few times. It was through that book that I was
introduced to PokerStars. I joined them part time during the
summer of 2003 and became the poker room manager in October of
2003. I'm delighted to be part of the PokerStars team and have a
wonderful time working here.
I'm married to a wonderful woman named Lisa, and we have two sons,
David and John. David is about to graduate from college and John
is about to graduate from high school. My interests (along with my
family and poker) are music, scuba diving, and trout fishing.
I appreciate the opportunity to share this
information with you."
Best regards,
Lee Jones
